Hey Fitness America Fans! I'm looking forward to my 10th consecutive season competing in Fitness . My very 1st show being 1996 Ms. Fitness Northeastern!

When I began competing my goal was to have a national title by the time I turned 30! I had no idea how unrealistic that goal really was or what was even involved in winning a national title! This year I will turn 40! At this point in my career I have several titles to my name and approximately 50 trophies yet those are not the things I am most proud of. The friends I have made on the Savage Team, the respect I have earned from my peers and all of the experiences (good and bad) are the things I hold close to my heart. I am so glad I embarked on this quest 10 years ago and wouldn't trade one single experience!  I am extremely inspired not only by 2005 FAP C hampion Deana Weiner but also by women who are only just beginning their fitness careers at my age!

In 2006 I plan on competing as often as I possibly can. Hopefully traveling to Pittsburgh, Miami, New York and California just to name a few!  I enjoyed my Bikini America experience but I think I'll focus on Fitness only this year. I'm going to use my "age" and "experience" to my advantage for this routine.....(hehehehehe....) I think the audience will really enjoy it!

My son is officially a teenager and doesn't require quite as much of my time anymore so I have taken on several new clients (personal training).  I love this almost as much as competing but it'll be interesting to see how it affects by own training and competition prep (???) I have new found respect for all working mothers out there!

BEST OF LUCK TO ALL! AND REMEMBER IF YOU'RE NOT HAVING FUN YOU'RE DOING SOMETHING WRONG!!!

Sincerely,

Dawn
