With over 400 competitors at the 2009 Universe Weekend, the chances of a novice competitor winning were a challenge in the least. But when Floridian model Natalia Muntean appeared at registration, you knew there was something special about this lady. And, when the judges caught first glimpse of her, they gave Natalia the highest score in all divisions edging out
Short Class winner Annette Perry and Tall Class winner Melissa Pittman.
Since winning the '09 Ms. Bikini Universe, Natalia has appeared in numerous fitness magazines, is a spokesperson for the Formula 55 Workout DVD Series and featured star in the Power Plank infomercial. Recently, Natalia started a line of Swarovski swimsuits which she personally designs and markets.
"I really enjoy competing, but the commercial side of the business has been so exciting!, said Natalia. Originally from the Ukraine, she moved to Florida before starting high school. Once in the USA, Natalia began professional modeling where she says it has been a love affair. She explains, "I love this beautiful, crazy, multi-angled kaleidoscope of the fashion industry. It is filled with the most creative and talented people! It motivates, inspires, feeds, challenges and makes me grow everyday."
Natalia is 5'6", 115 lbs. and can present a multitude of unique looks. She has also won some small modeling shows in Canada and Las Vegas and is now preparing and hoping to win the Model Universe in Miami. |
